Bjorn en Miranda Gommans Zeilen

About us

Since 1973, Gommans Zeilen has been the specialist in sailmaking and nautical canvas work. What began as a family business founded by Peter and Til Gommans has, since 2005, been carried on with the same passion and craftsmanship by their son Björn and his wife Miranda.

In our modern 1,800 m² workshop at the De Reubenberg business park in Swalmen, a dedicated team of experienced professionals works daily on the production of high-quality boat sails, covers, tents, and custom canvas solutions.

Service

At Gommans Zeilen, quality and craftsmanship come first. Every product that leaves our workshop—whether it’s a sprayhood, cockpit cover, deck cover, or custom sail - is carefully crafted and thoroughly inspected. This ensures a durable result that you can enjoy for many years to come.

Due to intensive use and constant exposure to sun, wind, and water, fabrics may show wear or damage over time. That’s why we have our own repair service. Our specialists ensure that your cover, deck cloth, or other canvas work is quickly and expertly repaired, so you can get back on the water without worry.

Custom solutions and personal advice

At Gommans Zeilen, your wishes and ideas are always our top priority. You are welcome to bring your boat to our spacious workshop in Swalmen, but we are also happy to visit your boat’s mooring. Together, we will explore the possibilities in terms of material selection, color, finishing, and fittings, ensuring a solution that perfectly matches your vessel.

We will gladly show you the different options and advise you on the best choices for your situation. Based on this consultation, you will receive a clear and tailored quote in which all costs are presented in a transparent and structured way. This way, you know exactly what to expect - without any surprises afterward.

Our covers and cockpits are even in demand internationally: from England and Switzerland to Mallorca and beyond.
